나를 가두는 온갖 숨 막히는 틀 따위는 걷어치우고 자유롭게 날아가는 마법 같은 구두를 디자인하고 싶다. 단순히 신기만 하는 구두가 아닌 오랜 시간의 생각과 탐색을 거쳐 행복한 곳으로 우리를 데려가 줄 작품을. 시간과 공간을 초월한 아름다움과 자연의 신비로움은 디자인의 화두다. 과거의 흔적들과 때 묻은 삶의 기억을 따라가다 보면 한국의 독창적인 문화와 예술의 아름다움에 매료된다. 10여 년 전부터 놓지 않았던 2가지 주제는 세종대왕의 훈민정음과 신윤복의 그림들이다. 언어의 자유를 준 훈민정음과 예술의 자유를 준 신윤복의 그림들은 앞으로도 나의 작업의 영감의 원천이 돼줄 것이다. 한바탕 편안한 마음으로 이 세상 놀다 가고 싶다는 자유로움이 춤을 추는듯 하다. 자, 시간 여행을 떠나보자.  - TIME TRAVELER -

I want to design magical shoes that throw away all kinds of suffocating frames that trap me and fly freely. A work that will take us to a happy place after a long time of thoughts and exploration, not just wearing shoes. Beauty and the mystery of nature that transcends time and space are the topics of design. If you follow the traces of the past and the memories of your dirty life, you will be fascinated by the beauty of Korea's original culture and art. The two themes that have not been put down since more than a decade ago are paintings of King Sejong's Hunminjeongeum and Shin Yunbok. Hunminjeongeum, which gave freedom of language, and Shin Yunbok's paintings, which gave freedom of art, will continue to serve as a source of inspiration for my work. The freedom to play in this world with a comfortable mind seems to be dancing. Now, let's go on a time trip. - TIME TRAVELER -

소재의 제한이란 없다. 모든 재료를 자유로운 마음으로 바라보고 싶다. 지금까지 가장 좋아하는 소재는 세월의 흔적을 담은 빈티지한 가죽과 한복을 만들 때 사용하는 아름다운 한국의 전통 원단들이다. 이들을 다양한 재료들과 함께 섞어 사용하는 작업이 즐겁다. 우리나라 만이 간직한 아름다운 선과 고급스러운 소재와 독특한 굽 모양으로 직선, 곡선, 원, 들을 구두 위에 자유롭게 표현할 것이다.

There is no restriction on the material. I want to look at all the ingredients freely. So far, favorite materials are vintage leather containing traces of time and beautiful traditional Korean fabrics used to make hanbok. It is fun to mix them with various materials. We will freely express straight lines, curves, circles, and fields on shoes in the shape of beautiful lines, luxurious materials, and unique heels that only Korea has.
